Communities thrive when laws are enforced consistently. Darek believes public safety is a basic responsibility of government; combining real accountability with treatment and recovery. Not policies that normalize crime and disorder.
Raising children has become financially overwhelming for middle-class families. Darek will work directly with childcare providers to lower costs and expand access for working families who need it most.
Washington should encourage opportunity and growth, not punish success. Darek opposes excessive taxation that drives businesses out of state and increases the burden on working families.
Parents. Not government; should be raising the children of Washington. Darek supports strong public schools and believes families deserve more say in the education of their children.
Real compassion means helping people rebuild their lives. Not enabling destructive behavior. Darek supports treatment and recovery programs built around accountability and long-term results.
Darek is a free speech absolutist and a full supporter of the Second Amendment. He will always defend the constitutional rights of Washington residents against government overreach.
Darek is a strong proponent of Title IX and believes girls sports should remain for girls. Protecting the fair athletic opportunities that Title IX was designed to guarantee.

Darek Blum grew up with a strong belief in personal responsibility, hard work, and the importance of community. A proud Pierce County resident, he has developed an earnest interest in public policy and the issues that shape everyday life for working families.
His path to running for office was shaped by personal experience — including his own recovery from addiction — and a growing conviction that too many legislators have lost touch with the people they represent.
